Happy Hollow Glass is committed to providing high quality Zero Waste Straws with a taste of the truth.

We all know 2 wrongs don’t make a right…

Happy Hollow Glass is committed to providing high quality Zero Waste Straws with a taste of the truth.

THIS is soda-lime glass.
A very cool green (soft) glass water bottle up-cycled into a sweet drinking glass – ahh… saved from the recycle bin! That’s handy!

– If customers are NOT informed of this “NOT RECYCLABLE” fact – literally tons and TONS of perfectly good soft glass could be ruined for good… and its only fate at that point is waste.

BOROSILICATE glass should NOT be recycled!

From Wiki: “A talisman (Arabic: طلسم‎; transliterated: tilasim) is an object which is believed to contain certain magical properties which would provide good luck for the possessor and possibly offer protection from evil or harm.”

These works incorporate my favorite mixed media and found objects; anything from natural fibers like hemp to watch parts, gears, nuts, bolts and other industrial style media.
High quality findings and up-cycled industrial hardware are combined to compliment my Handblown art glass and sculpted clay creations.

The Zero Waste Solution – By Paul Connett –

The Zero Waste Solution: Untrashing the Planet One Community at a Time

by Paul Connett

The community has to say to industry “if we can’t reuse it, recycle it or compost it, you shouldn’t be making it.” In other words waste is a design problem, and that is Step Nine: We need better design of both products and packaging if we are going to rid ourselves of the wretched “throwaway ethic” which has dominated both manufacture and our daily lives since WW II. We need to turn off the tap on disposable objects.

I couldn’t have said it better myself! If I have ever confused anybody by saying “Do NOT Recycle” This is a fantastic resource that will help to clarify what I mean by that!
